Marc Polmas was born on may 2nd 1997 in Amanzimtoti, South Africa. He
started playing tennis at  age 4 along with his brother who is also a professional tennis player. His Father Gavin, now an insurance investor, and his mother Nicola were both badminton players for South Africa’s national team.  His favourite tournament is the Australian open where he playes at home since he has been training on those courts most of his life. His favorite surfaces are Clay and Hard court and his favorite shot is backhand down the line. I he weren’t a tennis player he would have liked to become a professional Australian football player. When he isn’t playing tennis he likes to play table tennis, video games and support his favourite football team: Collingwood Magpies.
